Job Title: KYC Specialist / KYC Consultant

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced KYC Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in end-to-end KYC processes, knowledge of various entity types, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance procedures. This role will involve managing the KYC process flow, ensuring accurate identification and verification, and conducting risk assessments for clients. You will also support the KYC team with client onboarding and ongoing due diligence, helping to mitigate financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End KYC Process: Oversee the entire KYC process, including Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct Client Risk Rating, and ensure accurate UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Ownership), IBO (Intermediate Beneficial Ownership), and Key Controllers identification.

  • Sanctions & PEP Screening: Assess clients against PEP (Politically Exposed Person) lists and sanctions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Documentation & Verification: Ensure correct documentation is gathered for KYC compliance, and perform client identification and verification processes.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with FATCA, CRS, MiFID, and global KYC/AML regulations, and ensure adherence to red flag indicators in KYC processes.

  • Knowledge of Entity Types: Work with various entity types, including corporations, trusts, and partnerships, to ensure accurate and complete KYC records.

  • Client Risk Rating Process: Implement and monitor client risk rating processes based on regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Fincrime Tools: Leverage financial crime tools to assess and mitigate risks related to money laundering and financial crime.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with End-to-End KYC processes.

  • In-depth knowledge of Entity Types, including UBO, IBO, Key Controllers, and Authorized Signatories.

  • Proficiency in PEP & Sanctions Screening and knowledge of KYC Process Flows.

  • Strong understanding of CIP, CDD, EDD, and the Client Risk Rating Process.

  • Experience in Identification & Verification Processes and handling Document Requirements for KYC.

  • Ability to spot Red Flags and perform detailed due diligence.

  • Knowledge of Licensed Databases for KYC verification.

Good-to-Have Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with FATCA, CRS, MiFID, and global AML/fincrime regulations.

  • Understanding of Bearer Shares and the impact on KYC processes.

  • Experience with AML/Fincrime Tools like Egmount and others.

  • Relevant AML/Fincrime Certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Finance, Law, Business, etc.).

  • years of hands-on experience in KYC, Compliance, or related roles.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
